Kingdom Of Twilight
Summery
The Kingdom Of Twilight is a minor periphery nation starting around the time of the Amaris Civil War operating initially out of 4 systems west of Magistracy space. Until the 3060s when they are easily more comparable to a major periphery nation. In the 3090s one could consider them a Innersphere nation as they occupy a fair portion of former Free Worlds territory. In 3138 they officially join the Free Worlds League. Violently opposed to the Innersphere and later more so to the clans considering them the inheritors of Star League's greed and conquest. The Kingdom Of Twilight did what it could to support the Periphery as a whole and especially their neighbors having good relations with the Magistracy Of Canopus and Taurian Concordat. Their subsidiary Twilight Industries creates military goods exclusively for Periphery powers for defense and defiance of the IS. They also operate some mercenary companies the most famous of which is The Twilight Exorcists which regularly provides free services to the more poor minor nations of the Periphery. One more major feature of the Kingdom of Twilight is their extensive spy program which got just as much funding as the military industrial complex with spies in every corner of the Innersphere including ComStar as Celestia Twilight kept good friends with her former coworkers of Star League. The primary mission was military industrial espionage. The Kingdom Of Twilight wanted to know of any new tech before it got released and if deemed valuable enough, stolen.

The first product of Twilight Industries was a resounding success and isn't just responsible for Twilight Industries becoming a power house of periphery manufacturing but also for the beginnings of the Kingdom of Twilight.
Released a year before the New Vanden Berg Uprising the A11 Warthog came just in time. Specifically designed to take out mechs the A11 could defend a very large area and respond to an attack quickly. But what really made this so popular was it's price at a manufacturing cost of only 1.6 mill it was extraordinarily affordable for what it offered and was just what the Periphery needed to defend itself from Star League.
Designed as modern day successor to the legendary old Terra A-10 Thunderbolt II the A11 succeeded in being capable of taking out anything it lines it's weapons up against it failed in every other area. Despite being a whopping 50 tons the A11 is easily taken out and doesn't have the capability of hanging around the battlefield especially in regards to it's unguided one shot rocket launchers. The A11 is meant to fly in, take out the highest priority target, and return to base, a support aircraft to give other forces a fighting chance especially against mechs.

Though over twice the price of the A11 the A12 offers a more reliable assassinating airframe for even the heaviest of armored targets and is a cheaper option if you can't get your hands on an A20 series Warthog.
- A13 Warthog 3066:

Year: 3066
BV: 752

Only 6 years after the release of the A12 Twilight Industries released the A13 equipped with new advance technology that once again gave the periphery a significant threat on the battle field for a cheap price. Basically the same price as the A12 the A13 offers the new refined Rocket Launchers and more importantly had it's armor upgraded to reflective offering killing solution to even claners.
- Warthog A21 Lostech 2768:
Warthog A21 Lostech

Though the A11 was a massive success it ultimately failed to be a worthy modern successor to the A-10 Thunderbolt II Celestia very quickly sought to rectify and only 4 years later succeeded at just that. Not nearly as popular due to it's higher price tag those who could afford it discovered just what a force of nature and destruction this aerospace frame was. It could face off against something like a King Crab face on and come out on top with plenty of armor left to spare.
It was only much later after the 3000s that this unit received the galaxy wide renown that it deserves being a highly prized museum piece that some wealthy collectors would trade for a whole planet.
- Warthog A21 2820:

Weaponry:
2 AC/20
4 SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 30

With the succession wars leading to a great loss of technology the A21 had to be downgraded in many ways becoming slightly slower with slightly less armor but on the plus side being cheaper which was needed now that the golden age of Star League was over.
- A22 Warthog 3062:
Warthog A22
Year: 3062
BV: 2097

Though later versions were improved this was Twilight Industries Magnum Opus and what truly put them on the map so to speak across the Inner Sphere and not just their Periphery Niche. The A22 Warthog showed the galaxy Twilight Industries and The Kingdom of Twilight by extension was no joke! At less than 6 million C-Bills the A22 are Mech's worst nightmare, able to take anything out on the battlefield in a single pass and survive even if their entire force focused fired it. By the time it runs out of ammo everything on the battlefield is dead.
- A23 Warthog 3069:
Warthog A23
Year: 3069
BV: 2490
C-bills: 7,825,600
Tonnage: 100
Speed: 3/5
Armor: 328 Stealth
Weaponry:
2 Ultra AC/20
4 Streak SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 20 (40)

The Warthogs have always been particularly good at assassinating high priority targets. Twilight Industries decided to create a variant specifically for this purpose with the only change being the swap in armor for stealth armor, making the A23 hard to detect or shoot until it's too late. Not that it will matter since it still has all the armor of the other variants. The only cost is the extra 2 million C-Bills
- A42 Warthog 3062:
Warthog A42
Year: 3062
BV: 2710
C-bills: 13,085,750
Tonnage: 100
Speed: 4/6
Armor: 328 Reflective
Weaponry:
2 Ultra AC/20
4 Streak SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 20 (40)

Twilight Industries has always had the policy that they only sell to those of the Periphery with that in mind they've tried to keep their products relatively cheap even though they do prioritize quality over quantity. However knowing the legacy the A22 was going to leave they pre-emptively designed and released in tandem an even better variant. Their A40 series would be improved versions of the 20 series but would cost much more.
For the first time since the lostech A21 the A42 brings it back up to that speed. The other notable difference is the reflective armor making the A42 and absolute pain to take out of the sky!
- A43 Warthog 3069:
Warthog A43
Year: 3069

Just as the A22 released with the more expensive better A42 the A23 is released with this A43 for the stealth variant.
- B21 Warthog 3063:
Warthog B21
Year: 3063
BV: 2633
C-bills: 6,254,000

Weaponry:
2 Gauss Rifle
4 Streak SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 10(20)

For a very long time the people have been begging for Twilight Industries to create a air superiority fighter and those they still aren't doing that after they started manufacturing their own Gauss Rifles Twilight Industries decided to make a Warthog Variant that could hold it's own against Aerospace units. They named this new series the B series and it retrained it's anti mech capability to a slightly lesser degree but made it far more deadly to aerospace than it's counterpart. It's also a little faster catching up to the A40 series.
- B41 Warthog 3063:
Warthog B41
Year: 3063
BV: 3294
C-bills: 16,569,000
Tonnage: 100
Speed: 5/8
Armor: 368 Reflective
Weaponry:
2 Gauss Rifle
4 Streak SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 10 (20)
Megamek File: Click Me
As usual the 40 series are more expensive slightly better versions of their 20 series counterparts however the notable feature of the B41 is it's the fastest Warthog to ever be produced going a much more respectable speed more on par with other Aerospace of it's class. (edited)
- B22 Warthog 3069:
Warthog B22
Year: 3069
BV: 2839
C-bills: 8,979,000
Tonnage: 100
Speed: 5/8
Armor: 312 Stealth
Weaponry:
2 Gauss Rifle
4 Streak SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 10 (20)
Megamek File: Click Me
The B22 does these a little different and sacrifices a ton of streak SRM 6 ammo and a little armor in order squeak out the better speed of the B21 This variant makes better use of stealth than it's A counterpart due it it's more efficient heat management the stealth system also give it a much better edge against other Aerospace making it a very appealing option.
- B42 Warthog 3069:
Warthog B42
Year: 3069
BV: 3174
C-bills: 18,383,400
Tonnage: 100
Speed: 5/8
Armor: 368 Stealth
Weaponry:
2 Gauss Rifle
4 Streak SRM 6
Heat Sinks: 10 (20)

At the astounding cost of 18 million C-Bills many regard this as the worst 40 series variant to come out and most people recommend just getting the B22 instead

Re: Kingdom Of Twilight
History
Twilight Industries is both a Company and a minor Periphery faction the Kingdom of Twilight both ruled over with absolute authority by a King or Queen of the Twilight family. In order to explain how it came about we have to go all the way back well not quite all the way. The Twilight families have extensive written records of where they came from all the way to the royalty and nobility of Europe in the 15th century on Terra. They even know the exact ship their ancestors rode when immigrating to the new world. None of their relations and titles of nobility and royalty of that past did them any good in this new world though. As they progressed into the 21st century they became known for two other things their intelligence and military service. But the family was scattered separated by small groups of parents, grandparents, and grandchildren and even in those small groups there wasn't much of a purpose just people getting by. Which brings us to Star Twilight who decided to change that. Using her small fortune she'd amassed she bought a lot of land and assets to be used by anyone of the Twilight family even those she hardly knew. However they'd have to abide by some guidelines and rules. The first rule was family came first before anyone and everyone. Everything they did was to be in service to the family. Second who would be a member of the Twilight family was going to be regulated from then on. She would decide when members of the family got married if their spouse would gain the Twilight name or if they would take their spouses last name in which case their rights as a member of the Twilight family was revoked. As time progressed it became a natural trend that the women of the family would take on leadership and administration roles and scientists researching new technology while the men tended towards military services and mechanical roles. Star had seen the importance of colonizing other worlds in order to survive as a species and steered the family in the direction of that goal though she herself wouldn't live long enough to get to see it come to fruition. But that was okay. That was part of the whole reason she was recreating the family in this way to secure the position and future of their family for all generations to come.
As humanity began colonizing the stars half the family became a part of the Taurian Concordat and the other half the Free Worlds League however when Centrella created the Magistracy of Canopus almost every Twilight of the Free Worlds League defected to them. As time passed though the family was becoming disjointed and disorganized with no clear goal to lead them forward. Aside from a shared hatred of the Inner Sphere and Star League which conquered the Periphery by force.
Slowly beginning to reverse to how they were in the 21st century. But it was not to be. A young woman by the name of Celestia Twilight(born 2736) had been excommunicated from the family for refusing to be told what to do and in active rebellion she joined the Star League. She hadn't married yet which is why she still held the last name but functionally she could not gain from the benefits, connections, and security that would normally go with it. Celestia liked the Star League for what they stood for in opposition to the houses and their feudal way of running things. though nobody used the words there was no mistaking the galaxy was ruled by kings and queens, but not while Star League was around. She also was enthralled with their revolutionary technology though. Celestia was working on the Tandem Charge Warhead program which she was very passionate for. She believed it was going to revolutionize warfare. Largely the only effective weapon vehicles and conventional infantry could use against mechs were inferno missiles. But with these new missiles infantry and vehicles could very effectively take down mechs by passing armor and damaging the internal critical components. In addition it would mean less lives lost as the mech was rendered combat ineffective without killing the pilot in most cases. But not long after the prototypes they built proved it's effectiveness serious talks of canceling the project began to circulate. Celestia began to open her eyes. Star League wasn't opposing the feudal system, they'd taken it over establishing themselves as head King and things were getting really weird in the Star League. It was pretty clear Richard Cameron was incompetent and a puppet to Either Kerensky or Amaris she wasn't sure. A puppet to someone though for sure. Taking a prototype missile and all the research and blueprints on it Celestia deserted and sought out refuge in Canopus which was granted. There she founded Twilight Industries 2758. She was going to finish the missile design and sell it exclusively to the Periphery. She quickly ran into a problem though she wasn't going to be able to finish the missile and sell it at a price anyone is going to buy at least she had the foresight to see she wouldn't be able to sell enough to keep a business going. She was going to need a different product to sell. Luckily Celestia had something already lined up. For years on the side she'd been working on a successor to the legendary A10 Warthog for fun. Ever since mechs had become the dominate force on the battlefield there hadn't been any aircraft or aerospace that filled the close air support role like the A10 had during it's time. The Warthog could just look at something be it infantry or a heavily armored tank and it died. She'd already run the simulations and it was a very effective close air support vehicle. The problem was she didn't have the resources to stick it into production. Celestia met with some of her family on Canopus pitching to them all the promise of her new company and it's future products but they weren't willing to support her. She of course wasn't a member of the family. Celestia was about to give up hope when out of the blue an anonymous source funded her whole project free of charge which unknown to her was Amaris's work funding the Periphery for war.
The taxes added on to the Periphery in 2763 made things a little harder but Twilight Industries was already nearly finished. The A11 Warthog released in 2764 to critical acclaim and just in time for the gearing up for war.
